What is CoAlert?
CoAlert is a separate app for one-way communication of important information and alerts to external stakeholders.
CoAlert is used to quickly and efficiently send important information and alerts to external recipient groups (e.g. students, parents, subcontractors, partners, etc.) without having to handle personal data.
How to use CoAlert?
CoAlert is an additional service that can be ordered via support@cosafe.se. When this service is activated, new CoAlert settings can be made in the Admin Panel.
Authorized administrator in Cosafe creates a CoAlert group in the Cosafe admin panel. The administrator then decides which Cosafe users will be able to send messages and alarms to these recipient groups.
The recipients (external stakeholders) join their CoAlert recipient group by entering an 8-digit login code. The code is created by the Cosafe administrator in the Cosafe admin panel and shared with the recipients. You decide how many recipients (codes) you want to reach and pay according to the number of recipients.
There are two ways to create CoAlert codes:
Multi-code:
The first option is a multicode. This means that the administrator generates one (1) code that can be used a certain number of times, depending on what is specified in the admin panel. The code is distributed to recipients and each time the code is used, the number of remaining codes decreases. You can of course order more recipients for the same code.
Unique code:
The second option is unique codes. This means that the administrator generates a unique code per recipient. Each recipient thus receives a unique code that can only be used once. This is the only way to ensure who has used their code and joined the CoAlert group.

The CoAlert app is free to download and here's how to get started:
Download the CoAlert app from the App Store or Google Play.
Allow important alerts and notifications (in your phone's settings)
Enter the 8-digit code you received from the administrator in Cosafe and connect.
You are now connected to your group and can receive alerts and important messages from the organization.
Questions and answers
1. Who can alert and send messages to CoAlert?
Only users in Cosafe who are administrators/members of the CoAlert group and thus authorized to alert/send the recipients in CoAlert.
2. How to receive alarms/messages?
To receive alarms and messages, the recipient must have the CoAlert app installed on their phone and be connected to the group in CoAlert. The receiver connects with the 8-digit code created by the administrator in Cosafe.
If you are both a user in Cosafe and a recipient in a CoAlert group, you get the same messages and alarms for both apps.
3. Is it possible to have multiple CoAlert groups?
Yes, it is. It is possible to have several different recipient groups with different codes.
Recipients can be connected to, and receive messages from, multiple groups.
4. Does everyone in a group get the same code?
It depends on the code chosen by the administrator, either multicode (same code for everyone in the group) or unique codes (one code per recipient).
5. Is my personal data shared with anyone?
No. As a recipient, you cannot enter or share any personal data in the CoAlert app that could identify you. The Cosafe administrator also does not store any personal data about the beneficiaries, but only distributes the 8-digit code.
6. Is it possible to respond to alarms or messages sent to the group?
No, recipients cannot respond to messages or alarms. The app is only intended for one-way communication of critical information.
7. Can I use the same code several times?
It depends on the type of code you have chosen to use, multicode or unique code.
Multi-code: can be used as many times as you specify in the Cosafe admin panel
Unique code: can be used 1 time per code.
8. How long is the login session in CoAlert?
365 days, the session is extended every time the user opens the app.
9. Can an administrator log out users from the CoAlert group?
No, it is not possible to log out users. If the CoAlert group should no longer be active, the administrator deletes the group from the Cosafe admin panel.
